Gordon Ramsay returns for some Hellish kitchen adventures (Brian Bowen Smith/FOX)

During season eight of "Hell's Kitchen," 16 aspiring chefs are fighting for the executive chef position at LA Market — a sparkling, multi-million dollar restaurant in L.A. Live. A nice $250,000 dollar prize is also at stake.  

Chef Gordon Ramsay’s flare for the “f” word, blunt mockery and constant yelling again proved to be the most entertaining aspect of the show. Who does not love to see an angry, British guy crash a plate of sushi on the kitchen floor?

The sixteen chef-testants provided their own moments of drama-filled hilarity.

Raj had too much to drink on the first night and brought out his karate moves. Antonia came down with a mysterious illness and fainted during an interview. And if all this went down in the just the first hour, there will undoubtedly be more antics to come this season. 

The male team won the challenges at the beginning of each show, winning a spa night and trip to San Francisco. The women were more successful cooking for real diners at Hell’s Kitchen.

It will be interesting to see if the men can start working together or if the women will continue their momentum and pull ahead. 

Lisa was sent home for not being able to handle the fast-paced kitchen. Curtis was the next chef to leave, even though his team did not nominate him to face elimination. Ramsay wanted him gone and called him out from the crowd. 

Next Wednesday’s episode looks like it is going to be fiery -Raj gets in a heated exchange with his teammate and the teaser suggests ambulances will make an appearance.

The men dislike Raj and want him gone, but he does make good TV so the producers might keep him around a little longer. 

Things are heating up in the kitchen, and it looks like Ramsay's Hell is becoming one of fall’s guilty pleasures.
