Neon Tommy sat down with guitarist Ryan Hahn of the Silver Lake band Local Natives before their set at the FYF Fest. Watch Hahn discuss coming home to play their first L.A. show in several months, the sweaty crowds and his overall FYF experience.

Local Natives kicked off at the Redwood Stage just before dusk, showcasing their penchant for flowing harmonies, multi-layered instrumentals and catchy lyrics. Sunset over downtown was the perfect backdrop for such a melodic set that still kept the pace moving, thanks to Matt Frazier's hyperactive drumming style. Their beachy, surf vibe has definitely been mastered on the road. Watch the Natives perform the song "World News."

Originally from Orange County, the Natives relocated to Silver Lake in 2008 to complete their debut album, "Gorilla Manor," which was released in the U.S. in early 2010. Since then, the band has been on tour in Europe and the U.S. They'll be playing two shows at the Henry Fonda Theater on Sept. 17 and 18.
