Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was arrested in Las Vegas Friday on charges of grand larceny following a claim of domestic violence made by his ex-girlfriend.

Mayweather was booked at Clark County jail and is being held on $3,000 bail, according to a report from the Associated Press.

The charges stem from an incident at the house of Josie Harris, Mayweather's ex-girlfriend and the mother of three of his children, on Thursday. Harris claims Mayweather grabbed her hair, punched her in the head and left the house with an iPhone that belongs to her.

Mayweather's lawyer, Richard Wright, denies that Mayweather committed any crime.

Whether the incident happened as Harris says or not, the arrest is yet another smudge on Mayweather's reputation outside of the ring.

Earlier this month, Mayweather launched a homophobic, racist rant aimed at rival Manny Pacquiao, and he was videotaped in July betting on cockfighting in Puerto Rico.

Mayweather said in August that his next fight will take place in Dubai, but he has yet to identify an opponent. Given his recent string of extracurricular activities, the sooner he picks one, the better.
