Federal Judge Stops California Execution Of Convicted Murderer and Rapist

A federal judge stopped Tuesday the execution of Albert Greenwood Brown, stating that there would not be enough time for the court to properly review California's new lethal injection regulations.

The execution, California's first in five years, was scheduled for Thursday. Brown was convicted of murdering and raping a 15-year-old girl in 1980.
