A threat written on the bathroom mirror of a Thai Airways plane that landed in Los Angeles turned out to be a hoax, FBI officials said Wednesday.

The message was found on a flight from Bangkok to Los Angeles International Airport. The plane landed safely at LAX on Wednesday, and was immediately taken into isolation for investigation.

Thai Airways President Piyasvasti Amranand said, “The message – written in English with bad grammar – warned that a bomb was on the plane. This must have caused some nuisance to the passengers. It sounds like it was done by a crazy person."

The flight’s 171 passengers and 18 crew members have been investigated, and there is no evidence that any crew members were involved, FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller said. No arrests have been made yet.
