Brown V. Whitman: Sept. 27

Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman are preparing themselves for a series of debates beginning Tuesday. On the eve of the first of these debates, some important things have happened in each camp.

Both candidates have begun to commend one another after a long history of verbal sparring. Whitman has also established her view on Prop 23, the controversial environmental issue that has been much debated in the past few weeks. A poll released by the LA Times/USC has placed Brown in the lead by a small margin, but Whitman’s camp is calling the poll an “outlier.” The New York Times has dubbed this election a “tossup.”

Two polls out this week by the LA Times/USC have revealed Latino American voters’ overall lack of support for the GOP party and its candidates.
Brown and Boxer take the lead by a small margin in the recently released poll.
Whitman’s camp calls the poll an “outlier” in this tweet from the NY Times.
Over the course of the election for California state governor, Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown have used many less-than-polite adjectives in describing one another. Interestingly enough, on the eve of their first debate, each of the candidates has found reason to commend the other.
The New York Times gives a background of both candidates for California state governor, and in the “New York Times Race Rating,” dubs this election as a “tossup.”
Meg Whitman has finally voiced her opinion on Prop 23.

AmericanThinker, a blog, is disapproving of both Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown, describing their lack of ability in the below quote:
“Unfortunately, neither Meg Whitman nor Jerry Brown can return California to America's Founding Principles. That's because neither, I believe, is able to tell a Founding Principle from a kumquat. And while Brown might have some inkling about Natural Law because of his legal background, I'm certain his disdain for Natural Law is as great as Meg Whitman's ignorance of it.”
