Brittany and Britney made a fierce duo on Tuesday’s episode of “Glee.”

Brittany, the simple cheerleader who says the most hilarious, offbeat lines, played by Heather Morris, had major solos and dance numbers, something viewers have not seen.

Morris covered “I’m a Slave for You” and “Me Against the Music” in a dreamy hallucination at the dentist’s office. Her dance moves did Brit true justice, mimicking the music videos in the amazing "Glee" way. Her voice should definitely be highlighted more in the show.

Miss Britney Spears herself made a cameo appearance, looking just as fabulous as the fresh-faced, 90s, pop sensation many grew up knowing — and loving. Forget about that umbrella, car-bashing incident and the shaved head, it seems Britney — sexy, toxic Britney — is back for good.

John Stamos was added to the cast as Carl, Emma’s new love-interest and dentist. Are there Stamos and Matthew Morrison duets in the “Glee” future? Let’s hope so.

It was disappointing the new cast members from the premiere episode were not in this episode at all. Viewers want to see these impressive talents in action, so hopefully they will make an appearance next week.

Sue Sylvester was also limited in this episode and her searing sarcasm was missed. But she will be back, undoubtedly, with a new scheme to ensure the Cherrios remain the most important extracurricular activity at McKinley High.

The plot did not really move forward this week, with the exception of Fin rejoining the football team. That is not to say the Britney tribute was not perfectly done because it was, but nothing earth shattering happened to New Directions.

Next week brings the drama when Kurt’s dad is in the hospital and, of course, more spectacular dance numbers that will keep toes tapping through the weekend.
