Magnolia Bakery Reopens After Closing For Two Weeks
Newly opened Magnolia Bakery has had more challenges than trying to compete with Sprinkles Cupcakes.
Magnolia reopened Tuesday after being forced to shut its doors for two weeks due to building department issues raised by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
"They were only mechanical and engineering issues and are not related to any sanitary or health code violations," a Magnolia rep told LA Weekly via e-mail.
Magnolia issued an official statement to customers:
Dear Los Angeles,
We at Magnolia Bakery would like to thank you for your support and patience over the course of our 2 week closing. During that time we successfully addressed a number of unresolved construction issues.
We would also like to extend a special thanks to all the folks at both city and state agencies that gave their time and guidance and helped us reopen as quickly as possible.
Our ovens are on and our bakers are baking up a storm. We are officially reopened!
We look forward to serving you,
Magnolia Bakery
