The Los Angeles Police Department detained two men suspected for involvement in the shooting that occurred on USC's South L.A. campus late Halloween night.

Three of the four wounded in the events have been released from the hospital, but one remains in critical condition, according to police.  None of the injured are USC students.

On Wednesday night, two men began arguing outside the Ronald Tutor Center where a Halloween party was being held.  The conflict soon turned violent and one of the men pulled out a gun, shooting the other man in his torso three or four times, officials said.

The man shot in the torso is still undergoing surgery and in critical condition.  The three other victims were also wounded, but have been released after their injuries were assessed.

Students were advised to stay inside when a campus-wide alert went out at 11:30pm.  The advisory was lifted by 2:30 am Thusday morning and students were told classes would be held as scheduled.
