More Drama: French Journalist Drops F-Bomb Live On ESPN

All Bob Ley wanted was an account, a look at what happened in the French locker room leading up to Nicolas Anelka's expulsion from the team. He got that and, unfortunately, more on Sunday as L'Equipe journalist Erik Bielderman launched into a live blow-by-blow account of Anelka's argument with coach Raymond Domenech, including a few swear words (see video above).

Here's a full account of what Bielderman said in case you couldn't hear:

"It happened outside. Raymond Domenech ... asked [Nicholas Anelka] to answer to the tactical issue. And the response from the player was, 'go to f*** yourself, you son of a b****.'"

Bielderman's accent is thick. The F-bomb didn't come across as clearly as it would have if, say, Shaq said it, but it was distinguishable nonetheless. I don't expect ESPN will use Bielderman as a correspondent anymore.

To Ley's credit, he reacted with poise, apologizing to ESPN's viewers and reminding them that Bielderman was citing a direct quote. The Worldwide Leader is lucky to have such a professional at the helm.
