1. Pasadena Chalk Festival
Get up close and personal with art this weekend at the annual Pasadena Sidewalk Chalk Festival where more than 600 artists will gather to create their unique works of art on the street while you watch. As a bonus, the Make Music Festival is happening in downtown Pasadena on Saturday, featuring outdoor music performances including an appearance by Matt & Kim.
Free
Saturday June 19 and Sunday June 20, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
2. Invasion of the Body Snatchers
What better place to check out this 1965 classic horror film than the Cinespia screening in the Hollywood Cemetery? Bring a blanket and get there early, it fills up and they will turn you away.
$10
Saturday June 19, 7:30 p.m. - movie starts at 9:00 p.m.
3. Trunk Show LA
Shop at this Santa Monica boutique where labels are handpicked and marked down 40 to 90 percent. Get sample sale prices - without digging through bins - at this neatly kept space.

4. Wurstkuche
Chow down on exotic sausages at this cool Downtown LA eatery. It boasts more than 20 types of sausage (try the delicious hot italian or alligator and rattlesnake for the adventurous), 25 beers, and delicious fries. Create a doodle with your neighbor on the brown paper tablecloth at the communal seating.
Open for lunch until midnight every day
5. The Work of Fredrik Broden
The gallery at the Icon photography store and studio is featuring the photography of
Fredrik Broden - you would recognize his photograph that appeared on the cover of the controversial book "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey. His photos are startlingly simple but leave you thinking.
Free
Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Don't have a car? No excuse! Plan your trips with a lucky car-owning friend, or take the Metro.
