Remembering The Holocaust 65 Years Later

The 65th anniversary of the end of World War II and the liberation of the Jews has brought together survivors who share their stories at Los Angeles' Museum of Tolerance.
The war began in September 1939 and resulted in the deaths of about 20 million soldiers and 40 million civilians.
Adolf Hitler, with the assistance of Joseph Stalin, invaded the countries of Europe, one by one. Hitler claimed that Jews needed to be destroyed because they were the causes of "all the problems in the world."
A lucky handful survived until liberation came on May 8, 1945.
