Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has undergone much scrutiny recently for many changes in privacy controls, creating utter confusion among users. Zuckerberg and Co. has had to put up with petitions all over his site. Entire websites are devoted to help users understand the ever-changing settings.
"A lot of people are upset with us," Zuckerberg said at the press conference May 26.
Facebook announced May 26 that it's simplifying it's privacy control settings for a whole host of reasons, including the backlash from the sites users. Facebook privacy controls will not only be simplified, but users information will be less publicly available and there will be easier opt out features.

@CS - Facebook definitely can't be replaced (at least not yet). Despite Facebook's crazy and confusing privacy settings, it has connected so many people and is a much cleaner and more professional site than MySpace. (I feel like I'm 12 when I go onto MySpace.)
Good Q&A with Zuckerberg here: http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/05/26/qa-mark-zuckerberg-facebooks-ch...
Does anyone think Fbk can really be REPLACED though? Like Twitter has its own niche, LinkedIn is a dinosaur (for dinosaurs), MySpace is just creepy...nothing else does what Fbk DOES.
