JERUSALEM and LOS ANGELES-- The Simon Wiesenthal Center legally obtained rights to build a Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem on what it says is the site of a former parking lot. Next to the building site is an ancient Muslim cemetery dating back to the 7th century.
While advocates for the project say the site is not part of Mamilla Cemetery anymore, critics say the project should be stopped because the sanctity of Muslim cemeteries is eternal.
