USC football coach Pete Carroll trades his polo and khakis for a business suit to coach more than 600 members of the Orange County Business Council.
Last Tuesday, Pete Carroll traded in his USC polo shirt and khaki pants for a gray suit with a light blue shirt and dark blue tie. Instead of coaching football players from the sideline, Carroll coached more than 600 members of the Orange County Business Council at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.
In past years the Orange County Business Council had turned to the leading figures in politics, business and journalism to give the keynote address at its Annual Dinner. Former United States President Ronald Reagan gave the address in 1992, business tycoon Steve Forbes spoke in 1998, and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist George Will expounded at last year's Annual Dinner.
